Come Be A Star With Avistar! (Activated Charcoal Teeth Whitening)
Whoo! Hello February and yes to Friday! Where has the time flown!?
Anyways y'all! I'm back... for the time being. I just wanted to stop by and share this amazing new product with you guys. Yes! Another great teeth whitening alternative especially for those who have sensitive teeth like me AKA from years of harsh chemicals. And THE WORST part is, is that sometimes they don't even work... they just hurt.
BUT GOOD NEWS! This product is all-natural meaning it shouldn't hurt your enamels or any other teeth problems you may have. Did I mention... it's also infused with coconut?! Ya girl loves coconut (just not the shavings...)!
They've probably been on your insta feeds and other social media platforms but honestly, I feel that they all work the same in the means of whitening your teeth. So, it really comes down to the branding, kind of like shoes, do you want Nike or Adidas? (IMO, they both work great which is why I own both brands and also, I'm just a weirdo who likes to match her active wear, so....)
For me, I chose Avistar because for one, I love Amazon and now that I'm using Amazon Prime, I get every purchase within two days rather than waiting a week for my product to arrive. Especially if you're an impatient person like myself who just wants to have her items in her hands to use. Also, because Avistar is all-natural, it's an automatic win for me! I've recently started switching to all natural products for my skin and body. And lastly, it's safe! I know that the product itself will do what it's supposed to do. Purify, detoxify and whiten!
Mind you, when you receive this product, it'll be small. BUT, don't worry, the product itself is 2 FL oz (59 ML) which is about the same amount as your average foundation. And when they say, A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY, trust me, it really does.
Let's get down to it!
We'll begin with 3 major ingredients which includes:
- Organic Coconut which pulls stains off through an absorption process.
- Sodium Bicarbonate which breaks down proteins that cause discoloration.
- Orange seed oil which is a natural teeth whitener with numerous anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities, helps smooth the teeth whitening process.
(Information taken from description)
Basically, if you haven't tried the coconut oil pulling method like myself but know the benefits of coconut then this is why the powder is infused with it.
Now onto the steps:
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN OPENING THE LID as the powder might spill, so keep that in mind.
- You're going to want to wet your toothbrush first
- Then dip your slightly wet toothbrush into the powder, YES, the head of the toothbrush (you do have the option to put your toothpaste first then coat it with the powder, but I feel that it loses its purpose)
- Simply brush your teeth like normal and dab off any excess product
- After brushing your teeth for about 2mins, RINSE THOROUGHLY with the water running
All the while you're brushing your teeth, you'll notice that you are looking a tad bit crazy and your teeth is filled with a black film even after rinsing, so I like to run my clean toothbrush back at it again to remove any excess products that I didn't get from the rinse.
And whaaaalaaaa! You're done!
You should do this twice a day and fair warning, don't expect for this to work overnight. With any and every product that is supposed to help ensure cleanliness and or lightening, varying on the person, it may take up to 1-3 months to really see results.
Other questions that were asked upon my instagram post...
What does the powder taste like?:
Honestly, it doesn't really have a taste. Although it's supposed to be mint flavored, I don't necessarily feel that it is since I don't taste or sense any mint. I might be too caught up in the texture of the powder itself which leads onto the next question...
How does it feel? (Texture):
Like any powder candy that you've eaten, it's feels mineralized and grainy. It's something getting used to but it's definitely tolerable.
Does it work!?
Like I mentioned earlier, it will take a few weeks before you really start to notice the whiteness that you want to see BUT, YES it does work. You just have to be patient.
I hope this helps you minimizing your options in finding what brands you would like to try in the near future for some natural teeth whiteners!
Thank you to Avistar for providing me this product as these opinions are 100% my own.
